For six years
Francis B. Goldberg studied watercolor painting under the
direction of the late Mrs. Ruth Artega of Tujunga, California.
Francis B.
Goldberg apprenticed & worked professionally in theatre cinema
and dance in Hollywood & San Francisco, California and
Montreal, Quebec and presently Toronto, Ontario.
Painter,
actress, writer, dancer, & project conception for TV, Ms.
Goldberg received her B.A. at Laval University in Quebec City
in 1991. She presented her fable “Respectrum” in the
exhibition hall of Pavilion Jean-Charles Bonenfant.
“Respectrum” is illustrated with 34 works of art, pointing out
the roles of individuals in our contemporary world. Her
painting “Bread & Butter” is the property of Laval
University’s lending Art Library.
Francis
B. Goldberg shows different aspects of her personality in the
disciplines she practices. In the 70’s Ms. Goldberg did
commercial and education films for the Israeli cinema. In the
early 80’s, she did two five-day video workshops with The
Ministry of Education in Toronto, Ontario entitled “Take One
Dance”. In the 90’s, she hosted 20 television programs
entitled “La Passion Du Hockey” with Videotron of Lewis
Quebec, which aired both in Montreal & the Quebec City region.
Christmas 2000 to 2001, Ms. Goldberg did a television spot for
Radio Shack in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
At the
epicenter of Montreal’s 19th International Jazz
Festival, Ms. Goldberg exhibited 69 paintings of the world’s
greatest jazz artists. Reviews termed “Signature Jazz” as “a
very beautiful exhibition”. Nine new “Signature Jazz” works
were created during this solo exhibition in Montreal.
Three of
Francis B. Goldberg’s “Signature Jazz” works were a part of
Elaint Tennyson’s “Exquiste Harmony” Exhibition in Toronto in
1999. The Hummingbird Centre for the Performing Arts
(Toronto) included six works by Francis B. Goldberg during the
1999 opera season’s art sale, March 3- April 24, 1999.
Lakeshore Arts 6th Annual Juried Art Show June 3 -13,
1999, exhibited “Signature Jazz First Enseble” 2000: Mimico’s
Literary Café. Withering Bites welcomed in the
Millennium
with Ms. Goldberg’s 28 piece exhibition, “Christmas in
Bethlehem”.
2001
Etobicoke Yacht Club (Toronto, Ontario Canada) group Art
Exhibition and Sale. Included 12 works by Ms. Goldberg.
2002 The
Humber Sailing School bought a watercolor of their site in
Toronto, Ontario.
2003 Ms.
Goldberg accomplished 22 works in her European Collection
(Swiss-Romande and the South of France). 22 portraits done of
residents in home “Le Glarier” (Sion, Switzerland) as guest
artist.
2004 Ms
Goldberg executed Mo-Mo’s (included in this portfolio)
Westside during a performance art solo in Toronto, Ontario.
